Sunset and the break wall at the Point Betsie Lighthouse near Frankfort MI on Lake Michigan. I love sunsets with painted clouds but a clear sky sunset can be just as nice. I love using wide angle lenses to take in the low intensity light and color transition from the dark blues and purples of the upper atmosphere to the bright oranges, yellows and reds or the horizon line where the last bit of light slowly disappears. There's a short moment in time after the sunsets that lasts about 2 minutes max where even on a clear sky that pink light can be seen. On this night, it showed up as rays leading out from where the sun dropped below the horizon line.
